(a) Here let us consider the three properties. They are:

Reflexive: For every element 1 in A, (1,1) is in R.

Symmetric: If an ordered pair (1,2) in R, (2,1) is in R.

Transitive: If ordered pairs (1,2) and (2,1) in R, (1,1) in is R.

Here R is reflexive and symmetric and we have to prove that it is not transitive.
