why would I have gotten a positive result when reacting an alkene with with AgNO3? I thought that alkenes were not supposed to react with AgNO3. Can anyone explain to me why and also show me the reaction scheme? Thank you.

in general, Alkenes do not react with ammoniacal silver nitrate , but those alkenes which have high h+ donation capacity due to highly electron withdrawing grop attache dto it...may give AgNO3 test
