Find the inverse of fx 3x 7 John owns a hot dog stand He h

Find the inverse of f(x) = 3/x + 7. John owns a hot dog stand. He has found that his represented by the equation P(x) = -x^2 + 64x + 81, with P being profit and x the number of hot dogs sold. How many hot dogs must he sell to earn the most profit? Solve the polynomial equation x^3 - 5x^2 + 6x - 2 = 0. Solve the inequality, and graph the solution set. -3/-5x - 7 > 0

Solution

f(x) = 3/(x+7)

y = 3/(x+7)

To find inverse : plug y =x and x=y .Then solve for y

x = 3/(y+7)

xy + 7x = 3

xy = (3 - 7x)

y = (3- 7x)/x

f^-1(x) = (3- 7x)/x
