Cx 3 Cx Figure 941 Units Measure the slope of the line joini

C(x) 3 C(x) Figure 9.41 Units Measure the slope of the line joining the point (x, C(x)) and the origin. (b) How is this slope related to the function C at (x, Cx)? 8. (a)

Solution

Ans 8)

Slope is calculated by following formuls if we have 2 points respectively (x1,y1) & (x2,y2) then slope will be

(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

In our case (x,C(x)) & (0,0)

Slope we need is (C(x)-0)/(x-0)=C(x)/x

Ans 8/b)

C_ (x)is the arithmativ mean till point x and it will be given as =C(x)/x

Hence C_(x) equals to the slope of C(x) st (x,C(x))

C(x) 3 C(x) Figure 9.41 Units Measure the slope of the line joining the point (x, C(x)) and the origin. (b) How is this slope related to the function C at (x,
