User interface design has been around for many years and applied before web technologies. If a UI designer creates a very long input form with many fields, then the end user may become frustrated or not even try to use it. Discuss how you could simplify the long form for an end user.

Solution

When we think of a user interface, the first thing that has to be kept in mind is ease of use.

1. Decide about the inputs that are necessary, cut down unrelated or not so important input.

2. Try to use drop down list or combo box , so it becomes easy for the user.

3. Make use of checkboxes for the input types of multiple selection

4. Try using radio buttons for selecting a single choice from the given list of options

5. Give some hints or display the examples for the expected input types.

A smartly designed and simple User Interface is the optimal one
