there are basically 3 types of attachments, secure attachment, anxious attachment and avoidant attachment
secure attachment forms a relationship on trust and mutual care. A person securely attached can give out itself generously to the other partner. this kind of attachment is considered to be healthy in relationships as they can maintain realistic expectations of the relationship.
anxious attachment occurs when the partners are desperate to engage themselves in some sort of fantasy relationship. these people are unlikely to trust their partners on a deep level and they are constantly scared of betrayal and abandonment. This type of attachment is not good for a emotionally healthy relationship
In avoidant attachment, one partner always fears from getting emotionally connected to the other. although they may have deep feelings foe each other even though they withdraw emotionally. they deny their feelings and refuse to commit. this kind of relationship does not survive longer as partners are unable to give generous selfless love to each other.
