Rather than study the typical ethics topics of development of gas pipelines in new areas, or oil spills in various parts of the world, I wanted to put a positive spin on the environmental topic this semester. So now that you\'ve read about Patagonia\'s founder and his values, think about whether you feel that level of commitment to the environment is ethical AND sustainable. Do you believe that we can have a positive effect and turn around environmental damage by taking ALL stakeholders into account? Topic: how television has affected our society??. Nowadays television has become an important element in our everyday life. People of all classes upper and middle class whether they live in rural areas or in cities watch TV. No doubt TV makes them educated, informed about what is happening around the world and entertainment at their homes but it has also some negative effects. People are so engrossed in TV that they actually ignore what is happening around them. Earlier they used to visit their friends,neighbours, relatives and chit chat with them or we rarely used to party or have a get together but now they don\'t have time for these activities and we cant afford to miss our important serials. This is badly affecting the social lives of people in their day to day lives. Also it has a bad effect especially on the children and the young minds of the youth. They have become less social. Children prefers to watch TV rather than playing their favourite sports of cricket, badminton or football. Also the violence and other vulgar things seen on TV affect the behaviour of child as well as youth. They also try to imitate these kinds of things in their real life. Due to watching many hours TV children are also not concentrating in their studies. Our youth our drawn towards illegal activities like rape, murder, robbery, smuggling , drugs in order to earn more money rather than focussing on working hard. The youth is particularly affected by what they saw on TV. They drawn towards fashion and want to look like their favourite actor and actresses. This is degrading their moral values and characters.
