Flowcharting is a diagram tool that is used to prepare the step by step process or flow of goods in a process and decision making steps. It uses different symbols to reflect the nature of steps in the process flow. Any new process and or existing process is prepared as a flow chart. Afterwards, the flow chart is evaluated for the presence of any bottleneck, repetition of the step, redundancy in the process (if any) or any scope of wastage of resources due to the particular process flow diagram depicted as flow chart.
