Solution

The QI system should be economical, and less time consuming to collect the data and analyze it. If this does not happen then the Users may not show interest to use it and show as extra burden on them. The data from the QI system should be timely and real-time to generate appropriate report. If the reporting takes extra time or not timely then the QI system will not consider as effective. The quality measures should be actionable and provide indications to what needs to be changed in the organization. If this does not happen then importance of the QI may get lost. However, when considering this at individual level, an individual in the organization may get fear that a data or report generated through these reporting systems may get used against them rather using to address key issues in the organization. An individual not very sure to give data in the reporting system unless the briefing is provided on the same. An individual may have concern that the reporting system may show the behavior of other individual. Also, when the work norms are not properly followed by an individual, results in violations. Hence, to overcome these barriers on the usage of the reporting system, it is good to give feedbacks on what should be done to resolve the issue; the incident reporting system should be designed based on the specific requirements by an individual or an organization; mandate to the senior employees to address the issue once reported; trust to get the protection over the generated reports.
