Following are the stages of a multiparty negotitation

1. Pre- negotiation stage : This stage requires warming up and a informal contact between the members of the negotiation. One needs to decide on the participants, roles of the members, coalitions if they are to be formed must be formed at this stage Understanding that no- agreement point exists and no member should impose the decision by power.

2. Formal Negotiation Stage- This stages requires managing the group process and the outcome that is yielded. For example, appointing a suitable chair for the discussion and setting up a formal agenda for the negotiation. This stages requires that diverse and appropriate information is available on different perspectives keeping in mind every member\'s opinion and to be able to manage the conflict effectively. Members should be able to reach a first decision at this stage by discussing and brainstorming a common platform.

3. Agreement Stage- This is the last stage of the process of negotiation.The lead or the chair takes the decision from the different alternatives that are proposed in the second stage.
