To know the opportunity cost of 1 pound of berries as the fall in the quantity of fish divided by the rise in the quantity of berry. The quantity of berries is increasing by 10 pounds. The fish quantity decreased by 8 pounds. Thus the opportunity cost equals 0.8 (=8/10)

When Crusoe produces more berries the opportunity cost of an extra pound of berries increases
