Solution
ISOMERS:Compounds having same chemical formula are called as ISOMERS.
example: Consider C4H10.
They may be like CH(CH3)3 as well as CH3-(CH2)2-CH3.
IDENTICAL ISOMERS:Are also called as HOMOMERS, These are the isomers looking like they are representing two different forms that might lead to the conclusion that the two forms are different.
GEOMETRICAL ISOMERS:These are isomers which are having same bonding connectivity but differ in configurations.
Example: CIS-TRANS,
E-Z, R-S, SYN-ANTI.
STRUCTURAL ISOMERS:These are the isomers having different bonding connectivity .
Example :Above given structures of C4H10 rrepresent. structural isomers.
Now from the given definitions of different isomers we can conclude that
1:GEOMETRICAL ISOMERS
The both given structures have same chemical formula they are isomers and are having same bonding connectivity but differ in their configurations they are so called GEOMETRICAL ISOMERS.
2:NONE
From the given structural details it can be said that both. have different chemical formulae, hence are not isomers.
3:IDENTICAL
since both have same molecular formulae and same bonding connectivity and are representing two different forms so are called IDENTICAL ISOMERS.
4:GEOMETRICAL ISOMERS
Since both are isomers and having same bonding connectivity but differ in configurations so are called GEOMETRICAL ISOMERS.
