1F 3 2 4 3 5 2 6 3 What is the domain of F Range 2 r 13

1.F = { (3, 2), (4, 3), (5, 2), (6, 3) }. What is the domain of F & Range??

2. r = 13, x = – 12, y =

a. + 5
b. – 5
c. 313
d. (+-)5

3. G = { (x, y) | y = (x – 2)2 + x and x is a positive integer less than 6 }. What is the
domain of G?

a. {2, 4, 8, 14, 22}

b. {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6}

c. {1, 2, 3, 4, 5}
d. {2, 4, 8, 14}

4. What is the negative angle of smallest magnitude that is coterminal with an angle of
–240°?

a. –120°
b. –480°
c. –600°
d. –840°

Solution

1) if F={(3,2),(4,3),(5,2),(6,3)}

that is F(3)=2

F(4)=3 F(5)=2 F(6)=3

this impllies that

Rang F={2,3}

3)

given that

G={(x,y)| y=(x-2)^2+x and x is a positive integer less than 6}

we find domain of G

given that x=1,2,3,4,5

and y=(x-2)^2+x

for x=1 y=2

for x=2 y=2

for x=3 y=4

for x=4 y=8

for x=5 y=14

therfore G={(1,2),(2,2),(3,4),(4,8),(5,14)}

therfore Domain of G is {1,2,3,4,5}

4)

since angel -2400 is in 2nd quadrant

if we complet one circle and goes two second round anticlokwise we get -6000 is in 2nd qudrant and same as -240
