1. Explain how and why the American system of government could be legitimately described as presidential government.

The American system of Govt could be legitimately called presidential Govt because of following characteristics

A The executive power is undivided. President is both head of the state and head of Govt.

B president is appointed by people and not by legislature. Thus legislature doesn\'t control him

C The president can freely appoint secretaries of state and can remove them

D Both president and his secretaries are not responsible to congress

E The president can\'t dissolve congress. The congress can censure President.

F He can be from a party which doesn\'t have majority in congress.
