Ans(1):

volume of shelf cleat=length*width*height=8\'\'*1\'\'*2\'\'=16 cubic inches

volume of board=length*width*height=8\'*1\'*2\' cubic feet=8*12*1*12*2*12 cubic inches=27648 cubic inches

so number of shelf cleats that can be cut from box =(voluem of board)/(volume of 1 shelf cleat)=27648/16=1728

Hence 1728 shelf cleats can be cut and nothing will be left.
