Solution

1) (1 / x) + (5 / 2x) - (3/4x) = 1
(4 /4x) + (10/4x) - (3/4x) = 1
(4 + 10 - 3)/4x = 1
11/4x = 1
11 = 4x =======> x = 11/4

2) (7 / x + 2) - (4 / x - 5) = (1 / x - 5)
(7/x) – (4/x) – (1/x) = -5 – 2 - 5
(7 – 4 - 1)/x = -12
2/x = -12
2 = -12x
x = -1/6
