Paradigm is an important model or pattern which is shared set of assumptions. It is related to how one person perceived the world. It helps to develop expectations and what will happen based on the assumptions. It is difficult to accept the paradigm when the data is outside the paradise. This is known as the paradigm effect.

Whenever the paradigm is so strong that it prevents people from actually viewing or seeing what is in front of them then it is known as paradigm paralysis. It does not allow people to see the actual truth.

The important point to understand change is paradigm shift. It alters the way things are seen and done. The future is paved for the ones who create the paradigm shift and the pioneers. These are the ones who accept high risk and they look forward to the future. They are open to put new paradigm for use and practice.

Paradigm pioneers according to barker possess important traits. These include intuition which guides good decisions even if the information is incomplete. Another trait is courage which has them have the ability to take risk and move forward. Another trait is commitment of time which allows them to understand time required for working paradigm.
