Four sources of unemployment are
1. Cyclical unemployment - under this unemployment is involuntary. People are willing to work but are unable to get job due to reasons like recessions. Cyclical unemployment occurs as per changes in business cycles i.e booms and recessions in the market. Unemployment increases in recessions and decreases in boom.
2. Seasonal unemployment - under this people are unemployed in a particular season and employed in other depending on the jobs and skills.
3. Frictional unemployment - under this people are unemployed for the time when they are switching between jobs i.e. the time between leaving one job and joining the other.
4. SStructura unemployment- it is more due the structure of the economy and the skills people have at the time. For example as use of technology increases those who dont have proper knowledge of the technology will be unemployment.
