Motivational strategies that reward employees for meeting specific performance targets can encourage them to work hard-sometimes too hard. Overwork can contribute to mental and physical health problems as well as interfere with other aspects of employees\' lives. As a manager, how do you determine how much work is too much for your employees?
Solution
We have seen so many people having mental and physical health problems due to extra work load in order to gain reward from the companies. As a manager it our duty that we get the work done without damaging our employees health. In order to determine how much work is too much for the employees we should set targets on the monthly or weekly basis for employees and the targets should be realistic. It should be little more than the average worked done by the employees per month. A fixed point should be given to all the employees fulfilling to that target employ will be rewarded per month. If he continues his same performance for more than 10 months in a year he will be rewarded even better.
