Marketing Debate Is Service Marketing Different from Product
Marketing Debate: Is Service Marketing Different from Product Marketing? Some service marketers maintain that service marketing is fundamentally different from product marketing and relies on different skills. Some traditional product marketers disagree, saying \"good marketing is good marketing.” Take a position: Product and service marketing are fundamentally different versus Product and service marketing are highly related.
Solution
My position is that I agree with the statement that product and service marketing are fundamentally different versus Product and service marketing are highly related. And, that’s the reason why service marketing is different from product marketing. Products are tangible, so its easier for marketers to show the features to the customers. Customers can look, touch, feel or even try (in some cases) the product before they buy it. Whereas, in service marketing, marketers have to market the services, which is intangible. They need to market it in such a way that builds trust and assurance among the customers that services offered by this particular company is the reliable and best in market.
