Account receivable means amount which is receivable by any company from persons who had purchased good or services from the company/firm and it is shown in the assets side of the balance sheet.these are ON ACCOUNT sales that is when are sales are made on credit basis .they result into generation of accounts receivables.

However net accounts receivable is receivables minus provision for doubftful accounts which gives the net accounts recceivables:
