Payload: 231 Passengers
Crew: Two pilots and three cabin attendants at 175 lbs each and 30 lbs baggage each
Range: 4250 nm. following by 30 minutes loiter
Altitude: 39,000 ft
Cruise speed: M = 0.80 at 39,000 ft
Climb: Direct climb to 39,000 ft. at maximum take-off weight WTO
Take-off and Landing: FAR 25 fieldlength, 8650 ft. at an altitude of 2000ft and a 98.5° F day. Landing performance at about WL =0.83 WTo
Engines: Two turbofans
Certification base: FAR25
Estimate take-off gross weight, empty weight, and mission fuel weight.
Side note: The To and the L are subscripts. Also an example can be seen on page 55 of Airplane Design Part 1:Preliminary Sizing of Airplanes by Dr.an Roskam. This was a project but my professor decedied to give the class 4 exams instead of projects. But my professor did say that the exams will be similar to this projects that were given.
