Entire populaiton is too large: Suppose you want to conduct a survey to know the average height of the U.S. male with age above 18 years. In this case population will be all the U.S. males having age 18 years or more. So it is not possible or it will lots of effort and money to ask each male abotu his height. In this sample will be needed.

When \"measuring\" or \"testing\" units of populaiton destroys the unti: Suppose government requires automakers of cars in the U.S. to demonstrate that how well their cars can survive certain crash tests. In this cars tested to see if it survives will be destroy. The company can\'t be expected to crash every car so the company crashes only a sample of cars.
