Find an equation of the line that satisfies the given condit

Find an equation of the line that satisfies the given conditions.

Through (3, 2);  parallel to the y-axis

Find an equation of the line that satisfies the given conditions.

y-intercept 4;  parallel to the line 4x + 5y + 9 = 0

Find an equation of the line that satisfies the given conditions.

Through (6, 3);  parallel to the line x = 7

Find an equation of the line that satisfies the given conditions.

Through (1, 2);  perpendicular to the line 2x + 5y + 2 = 0

Solution

1. Passing through (3,2) and parallel to y axis means x=3

2. 4x+5y=9

y= (-4x/5)+(9/5)

m =-4/5

And given y intercept b=4

y=(-4/5)x +4

3. Passing through (-6,3) and parallel to x=7 means x=-6 .
