When the concentration of NO is kept constant and that of H2 is doubled , the rate of reaction increases by a factor of 4. So the order of reaction is 2 with respect to H2.

When the concentration of H2 is kept constant and that of NO is doubled , then the rate of reaction also increases by a factor of 2.

So the rate of reaction is given as :

rate = k[H2]2[NO]
