A rocket is fired vertically upward at a point on the Earths
     A rocket is fired vertically upward at a point on the Earth\'s surface of latitude lambda degree N. Determine the Coriolis deviation at its maximum height h. What is the numerical value of the deviation if h = 150 miles and lambda = 35 degree N?

  Solution
At maximum height , the vertical velocity will be zero
i.e. V = 0 ;
We have Coriolis force = 2Vw , where V is the linear velocity and w is the angular velocity;
So coriolis force will be equal to zero
Thus the coriolis deflecion will be also zero
