2. Contrast the corporate values espoused by two Fortune 500 companies. Select two firms that seem to manifest very different cultures. Leaders play a vital role in building and shaping up the new hires role in an organization. During the process of on boarding the new hires they come to an organization with their own belief, culture, behaviour and their own knowledge. Being Leader it becomes necessary to introduce the company to the new hires make them aware of what is the company’s value statement, mission, what is expected to be doneand what is not expected to do. Also leader will have to motivate the new hires by showing the previous achievements of employees and what has led them to success.

Also when a new hires join any team or process in the company, the person will be completely new to the system, process & people. The concerned team leader will need to make the people comfortable and introduce them to the entire team or organization and help them socialize with the people and process. Also the new hires should be sent for Induction process which means it will be a total introduction of the company to new hires. It gives a brief overview about the company, about the Leaders, what business the company is in to, company’s HR policy, what are the business the company is doing, who are the target customers and many other things should be introduced. Also the new hires should be given an information about what is required to be done to enhance their knowledge and how the individual’s performance is measured so that new hires grow in the company. Also new hires will need to be given opportunity for socialization. Socialization helps the employees to get engaged with company’s business culture and also they can get to meet people and make friends with them which helps in building the better performing team and contributes for company’s success.

Since the company gives a lot of opportunity to work with people in different geographical location it helps me as an individual to know the cultures of different location and how people react to different scenario’s and learning prospects. Since the company believes in excellence of services it motivates me to deliver the best in job and always keeps me awake when it comes to the quality in everything I do.
