Explain why taking measurements in both direct and reverse mode helps to balance error with a total station ?

Solution

When we take both measurement i.e. forward and reverse we tend to eliminate errors. the errors minimises because of folowing reasons:

1) we can check by the fact that the data value from which we started in forward direction must match with which we ended in reverse direction.

2.) It also provides for the double check of the data.
