You are to design a funnel that can hold a total of 1 liter ( equal to 1000 cm3 .) The length of the spout needs to be no more than 1.5 times the height of the bowl, but no less than the height of the bowl. Write your process at deducing the shape and sizes of your funnel

Solution

To find the volume of a funnel, first find its length, width and height in centimeters.

Then multiply the three digits together. The result is the volume in cubic centi meters.

For example, a tank that is 10 centimetres in length, 25 cm height

And 4 cm width has a volume of 10 x 25 x 4 or 1,000 cubic centimetres.
