Argument happend when there is difference of opinion in a topic that is discussed. For example let us consider the topic politics, in a family of four, father might have a different thought politics where in he might be completely updated about current affairs and if the mother is a home maker and less interested in current affairs then she might have a different opinion about the same. A teenager might not even be interested to know what is happening the the global arena of politics and a cute little sister might ask what is politics.So, here is where an argument might start,

Typically when there is an argument that might pose a threat to traditional values then one should strongly defend the traditional rituals and norms as we should understand that all these were created with some practice in mind. Customs that are being followed generation by generation becomes a tradition. By explaining themoral values and reasons for a particular tradition we will be able to gain credibility.

Take for example a house warming ceremony is a tradition which is being followed for ages in different forms by different variety of people but still everyone do it because it is a tradition to invite all our near and dear ones to have a happy beginning for a fresh life in new house. For argument sake let us say that why to spend again on a function after spending so much on purchasing the house. But it is not llike that, we may never know the kind of mindset that a person was in while the house was constructed, so in order to forget all the pressure and have fun time with our relatives and friends this kind of tradition was followed.
