The Sectumsempra toxin binds to dicer and renders it completely nonfunctional. What effects wouldthis particular toxin have on the rate of translation?

Solution

Dicer is a RNase III. It\'s an endonuclease. So If it will get inhibited then rate of translation will increase because inhibition of dicer means no breakdown of double stranded RNA into iRNa or micro RNa so they will not incorporate with RISC factor hence mRNA degradation will hault and translation will increase.
