this is as volume decreases , tempertaure decreases and hence internal energy . Volume reduced therefore work is done on system.

Process b) ------- From column II ----- 1 , 4

As pressure decreases, temperature will decrease and hence internal energy. Therefore heat is lost.

Process c) ------- From column II ----- 2 , 3

As volume increases, temperature increases and hence internal energy. Therefore heat is added to system.

Process d) ------- From column II ----- 4 , 5

As volume decreases , temperature decrease and hence internal energy also decreases. Also here pressure got increased and hence work is done on system.
