Solution

Annealing- enhance machinability, relieve the internal stresses, refine grain size and induces fracture toughness.

Induction hardening- heats the component to the austenitizing temperature. It is held at this temperature long enough so that the formation of austenite is complete. Austenite structure is strong and tough.
