Matrix S gives the number of three types of cars sold in Mar

Matrix S gives the number of three types of cars sold in March by two car dealers and matrix P gives the profit for each type of car sold. [18 15 24 17 16 20]_ = S profit [$400 $650 $900] = P Which product is defined, SP or PS? Find its matrix and interpret its elements. Find the inverse of a 3 times 3 matrix. (Use Gauss-Jordan) C = Find the determinant of A. interpret results

Solution

1) S = 3 rows and 2 column : S =[]3*2

P = 1 row and 3 column: P =[]1*3

SP : To define product no of columns in S should be equal to no. of rows in P i.e. SP is not defined

PS : As column in P = rows in S i.e. PS is defined

PS = [$400*18 + $650*24 + $900*16 $400*15 + $650*17 + $900*20]

= [$(7200+14400+15600)] $(6000+11050+18000)]

=[$37200 $35050]

 Matrix S gives the number of three types of cars sold in March by two car dealers and matrix P gives the profit for each type of car sold. [18 15 24 17 16 20]_
