Proton condition is nothing but the balance between the ones which possess excess protons to the ones which have proton deficit which is measured to a relative proton level. This is also represented by Proton balance equation.

Example Hcl + H2O ----- H3O+ + cl-

Here the reaction when Hydrochloric acid dissolves in water where H3O+ is formed by accepting proton and Cl- is formed by releasing proton where there is an overall proton balance on the whole.
