4 Richard Griffin and three other men owned a grain company

4. Richard Griffin and three other men owned a grain company called Bearhouse, Inc. which needed to borrow money. First National Bank was willing to loan $490,000, but it insisted that the four men sign personal guaranties on the loan, committing themselves to repaying up to 25 percent of the loan each if Bearhouse defaulted. Bearhouse went bankrupt. The bank was able to collect some of its money from Bearhouse\'s assets, but it sued Griffin for the balance. At trial, Griffin wanted to testify that before he signed his guaranty, a bank officer assured him that he would only owe 25 percent of whatever balance was unpaid, not 25 percent of the total loan. How will the court decide whether Griffin is entitled to testify about the conversation 5. When Deana Byers married Steven Byers, she was pregnant with another man\'s child. Shortly after the marriage, Deana gave birth. The marriage lasted only two months, and the couple separated. In divorce proceedings, Deana sought child support. She claimed that Steven had orally promised to support the child if Deana would marry him. Steven claims he never made the promise. Comment on the outcome.

While testifying on the issue, the assurance was verbal and there is no proof of it.

So, only the documented and written proof accounts for as testimony in the court to make it enforceable. So in case Griffin informs the same and does not show any physical proof it is not accepted in the court. The other way is if the bank officer accepts it in the court or any video evidence of the the same is presented.

But if any of the above is not presented the court will reject the version of Griffin and enforce the written contract, which is 25% of the total loan as per the partnership agreement, unless the suing authority agrees otherwise.

5.

Here the outcome is simple, there is no written proof and no direct evidence of proving that Steven promised of the support.

And in the court this verbal contract can not be proven as Steven has outrightly rejected the claim and Deana has no proof written or otherwise to prove otherwise.

Hence the court will give its ruling in favor of Steven and no Child support will be provided.
