What is the equivalent resistance of this circuit Solution40

What is the equivalent resistance of this circuit?

Solution

40 ohm and 30 ohm are in parallel.

Resultant of these two be R then

(1/R) =(1/40)+(1/30)

    R = (40 x30) /(40+30)

       = 1200 / 70

       = 17.142 ohm

20 ohm and 10 ohm are in parallel.

Resultant of these two be R \' then

(1/R \' ) =(1/20)+(1/10)

    R \' = (20 x10) /(20+10)

       = 200 / 30

       = 6.6666 ohm

100 ohm , R , R \' , 50ohm are in series.

Therefore equivalent resistance of the circuit ,R eq = 100+R + R \' + 50

                                                                        = 100 + 17.142 +6.6666+50

                                                                        = 173.8 ohm

 What is the equivalent resistance of this circuit? Solution40 ohm and 30 ohm are in parallel. Resultant of these two be R then (1/R) =(1/40)+(1/30) R = (40 x30
