Removing CMOS Battery this works on desktop computers make sure that computer is turned off. Remove the case from computer so that you can access the mother board, locate the CMOS battery it is round and silver, like wathch battery. carefully remove it from it housing wait for some minute like 10 so that all the power stored in the capacitors on motherboard can discharge . Now replace the CMOS battery.
