Perpendicular to x 2y 3 and having an xintercept of 3 Find

Perpendicular to x - 2y = 3 and having an x-intercept of -3 Find the value of k if the line 2x - 5y = 8 passes through the point (2k, k-1) If the slope of 2/3x + cy = 8 is 6, then what is the value of c?

Solution

Q5) Slope of given line = -1/(-2) = 1/2

Slope of perpendicular line = -2

let equation be

2x+y = c

put y =0 and x =-3, we get

-6+0=c

c = -6

So, equation is 2x+y = -6

7) Slope of given line will be = (-2/3)/c

so, -2/3c = 6

3c = -1/3

c = -1/9

 Perpendicular to x - 2y = 3 and having an x-intercept of -3 Find the value of k if the line 2x - 5y = 8 passes through the point (2k, k-1) If the slope of 2/3x
