Right question should be

2(x/105.99) +((1.372-x)/84.01) = .02138

2x/105.99 - x/84.01 = 0.02138 - 1.372/84.01

x*(2*84.01 - 105.99)/(84.01*105.99) = (84.01*0.02138 - 1.372)/84.01

x*62.03/(105.99*84.01) = 0.4241338/84.01

x = 0.4241338*105.99/62.03 = 0.7247
