Definitely, because currently our mother earth is heading towards worst scenario of climate that ever could be. Waste management is very crucial given such a scenario, so all types of organizations whether they are manufacturing or service must adopt and learn about eliminating all types of waste. because Solid waste management processes and climate change operate at similar timescales, as such; there is a need to understand what the potential climate change impacts may be on waste management. Several greenhouse gases(GHGs) are emitting because of disposal and treatment of waste. Which is the major reason behind global climate change. Methane is the gas which is mainly produced from waste and it is most significant gas. In landfills it is released during the breakdown of orgainc matter. there are other type of disposals as well but these are mainly in the form of carbon dioxide(a less powerful GHG). Even the recycling of waste produces some emissions (although these are offset by the reduction in fossil fuels that would be required to obtain new raw materials). Waste prevention and recycling help address global climate change by decreasing the amount of greenhouse gas emissions and saving energy (Environmental Protection Agency).
