Solution
balanced equation is
H2SO4 + 2 KOH -----> K2SO4 + 2 H2O
Number of moles of H2SO4 = molarity * volume of solution in L
Number of moles of H2SO4 = 0.430 * 0.850 = 0.366 mol
Number of moles of KOH = 0.280 * 0.800 = 0.224 mole
from the balanced equation we can say that
2 mole of KOH requires 1 mole of H2SO4 so
0.224 mole of KOH will require 0.112 mole of H2SO4
number of moles of H2SO4 left = 0.366 - 0.112 = 0.254 mole of H2SO4
total volume of solution = 0.800 + 0.850 = 1.65 L
Moalrity = 0.254 / 1.65 = 0.154 M
Therefore, moalrity = 0.154 M
