Use Herons Formula to find the area in square unit of the gi

Use Heron\'s Formula to find the area, in square unit, of the given triangle given that a = 6.9, b = 9.1, and c = 3.32. Round answer to two decimal places. a) 22.94. b) = 19.97 c) 27.75 d) 29.11 e) None of these

Solution

Heron\'s formula is A=sqrt(s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c))

where s=(a+b+c)/2

s=(6.9+9.1+13.32)/2=14.66

A=sqrt(14.66(14.66-6.9)(14.66-9.1)(14.66-13.32))

A=sqrt(847.5694246)=29.11
