Why do some animals have two, three, or four chambered hearts? Please name some animals with each kind of heart.

because of process of evolution, as the different animals eolved the heart chambers develop according to the need of organism in newly adapted environment. cold blooded animals such as fish have 2 chambered heart they evolved into amphibians hich migrated to land and thus developed 3 chambered heart whereas mammals and birds have 4 chambered heart which are warm blooded animals which requires more blood for maintaining their body metabolism.

3 chambered heart- frog, snakes

4 chambered- humans, birds
