So, (6 +2x)(10+2x) = 165 -----( These are the parameters i can see from the image)

4x^2 + 12x +20x +60 = 165

4x^2 + 22x - 105 =0

solve for x: x = ( -22 +/-sqrt(22^2 + 16*105) )/8

x = 3.064 , -8.56 . Neglect -ve result

So, bender width = 3.064 ft
