If this power or control is unethically used it can have adverse affect on the psychological well being of the followers. Therefore, it is very essential for the leaders to be ethical as the followers are highly motivated in order to gain their leader’s individual approval; they are heavily affected by leaders’ beliefs and actions; leader’s symbolic status, unconscious drives foster leaders to modify its followers’ thoughts, emotions, and perceptions .
