V_i = initial speed = 0 m/s

V_f = final speed = 8.16 m/s

t = time taken = 1.20 s

a = acceleration

using the equation

V_f = V_i + at

8.16 = 0 + a (1.20)

a = 6.8 m/s²

d = distance moved

using the equation

d = V_i t + (0.5) a t²

d = 0 x 1.20 + (0.5) 6.8 (1.20)² = 4.896 m
