Why are some elements more likely to be found as ions in nat
Solution
Answer 1)
a) Formation of ions from neutral element or we can say the existance of anion or neutral element depends on their relative stability.
b) If on ionizing valence shell electron (cation) or accepting electron in valence shell (anion) makes the resulting
ion stable then it is formed preferentially over it\'s neutral elemental form.
c) Ion formation is generally accompanied with or we can say takes place only to achieve an ocetet state stability.
E.g. Na(2, 8, 1) ionizes a valence shell electron and forms a cation Na+ (2,8) by which it gets an octet stability.
Cl (2, 8, 7) accept an electron in valence shell and forms an anion Cl- (2, 8, 8) which get octet stability.
And ionzation energy (in cation formation) or Electron affinity (for anion formation) are very highly favorable for such transformations.
Hence some elements more likely to be found as an ion in nature.

2) As compunds become larger and complex it becomes more complicated, difficult, and uncertain to determine it\'s exactly structural formula.
The very reason for this is that as more and more atoms or groups of atoms get added to the structure there arises many posible ways of attachments also many possible connections of atoms etc.
Hence it becomes difficult to make out the exact chemical structure for larger molecule.
