Integument means cover or enclosure. It is primarily composed of skin and accessory structures. The accessory structures include hair, nails and certain exocrine glands. Skin consists of arrector pilli muscle, dermal papilae, dermis, epidermis, epithelial tissue, integument, keratin, melanocyte, sebum, squamous cells. Hair and nails consist of keratin. Exocrine glands include sweat and sebaceous glands.
