The main reason for not getting the flood resistance is due to the absence of the gene resposible for the flood resistance .In order to attain this characteristic we can incorporate the selectable marker gene responsible for the special feature .This can be achieved by the transformation of the recombinant vector into the host cell so that we get the useful characteristic features.
